Bushtops Safari Camps Launches “The Beest”: A Game-Changer for Serengeti Safaris

Date:

Meet the New Safari Truck Called The Beest

Bushtops Safari Camps has something big coming. On June 1, 2025, they will show everyone their brand-new game viewer. They call it “The Beest.” It is not just another jeep. This truck changes how people go on safari in the Serengeti. You sit high, you see far, and you feel like a king out in the bush. My cousin saw the pictures and said he has never seen anything like it before.

How The Beest Looks and Works

The truck has six wheels instead of four. That is the 6×6 part. It can climb hills and cross muddy rivers without getting stuck. The sides are open so you can look all around. If it starts raining, the guide just pulls down canvas covers and you stay dry. The whole body is made from strong steel with a roll cage on top. If something crazy happens, you stay safe.

Inside it feels fancy. There is real wood on the walls, soft lights at night, and thick carpet under your feet. It does not feel like a normal safari car at all. It feels more like a moving living room.

Things That Make The Beest Special

– **Super Strong on Rough Ground**: The six wheels let the driver go places where normal cars stop. Last dry season the normal jeeps got stuck, but The Beest would have kept going. – **Best Views Ever**: Nothing blocks your camera. You can take pictures of a lion ten meters away without a window in the way. – **Safe for Everyone**: The steel cage is the same kind they use in rally cars. Kids can come along and parents do not worry. – **Little Comforts**: Each seat is big and heated when mornings are cold. There is a small fridge with cold water and soda, and plugs to charge phones all day.

Comfort That Feels Like Home

The Beest is built for long trips. Some guests want to stay out from sunrise to the next morning. This truck lets them do that. In the back there is a real bed – four meters long and two meters wide. That is bigger than most hotel beds! Above the roof there is a tent that pops up. You sleep under the stars but on a proper mattress.

There is even a small kitchen. The cook can make hot breakfast or dinner right there in the bush. After a dusty day you can take a real shower with good water pressure. One guide told me guests sometimes spend two full days out and never miss the camp.

Why People Love the Comfort Part

– **Sleep Out in the Wild**: Fall asleep while hyenas call and wake up with elephants drinking nearby. the same time you have pillows and blankets. – **No Need to Rush Back**: Cook, eat, shower – everything happens inside The Beest. – **Long Happy Drives**: Seats feel good even after eight hours. Nobody complains about sore backs.

Who Can Ride The Beest

You can only use The Beest if you stay at Serengeti Bushtops or the moving camp called Roving Bushtops. It costs extra, but many guests say it is worth every dollar. Normal rooms at the camp start at $1,090 per person per night in 2025, and that already includes food, drinks, and normal game drives. Adding The Beest just makes the trip even better.

In June 2025 the Roving Bushtops camp moves north to follow the Great Migration. If you book both the moving camp and The Beest, you get right in the middle of millions of wildebeest crossing rivers. I saw videos from last year – crocodiles everywhere. It is wild!

Good Reasons to Book It

– **Only a Few People Getters**: Not every guest gets The Beest. Only one truck exists right now, so it feels private. – **See More Animals**: The driver can go off the normal roads. You find lion prides and cheetahs that other cars never reach. – **Perfect for Long Trips**: Stay out overnight and still eat steak and take a hot shower.

A Little About Bushtops Camps

Bushtops has camps in Tanzania and Kenya. People keep voting them some of the best in Africa. Every tent is huge with big baths and private decks. The guides know every animal by name – well, almost. They do private drives, so your car has only your family or friends. No sharing with strangers.

Now with The Beest they keep making new things. First the luxury tents, then the moving camp, now this crazy truck. They never stop.

Why Guests Keep Coming Back

– **Everything Made for You**: They ask what you like and plan the day around that. – **Really Nice Places**: The camps win awards every year. The beds are soft, the food is great, and the views make you forget the real world. – **Always Something New**: The Beest is just the latest toy they built for guests.

Time to Plan Your Trip

The Beest is not just a car. It is a new way to see the Serengeti. You ride all day, eat good food in the middle of nowhere, sleep with the lions roaring close by, and wake up to coffee while giraffes walk past. Add that to the already amazing Bushtops camps and you have a trip people talk about for years.

Spots are limited. Only one Beest right now, and the best migration months fill up fast. If you want to try it, call the camp soon. Tell them you want The Beest – they will smile and say yes.
